The Volkswagen Eurovan is designed to tour and camp in style.

Its roots come from many years of camper innovation starting in the 50’s with the VW bus and continuing thru the 80’s with the Westfalia Vanagon camper. The more modern Eurovan has an automatic transmission, front wheel drive and powered by a V6 engine packed with 200 horsepower to get you up the mountain or anywhere you need to go. Gas mileage ranges from 18-22 miles per gallon, an INCREDIBLE savings for long distance trips over other vans or RVs. The vans come with air conditioning for hot days, a forced air furnace with thermostat for cold nights and a stereo with MP3 player hookups and remote. The relatively small footprint allows for easy parking and the ability to camp in places most RV’s could never go. Each van has an auxiliary battery for remote camping as well as an electrical hook-up outlet for plug in power.

Cooking & Dining

The kitchen comes with a 2-burner gas stove, sink, 12 gallon water tank, plenty of cabinet space and a 3-way refrigerator (gas, 12V, 120V). We outfit the van with a full set of kitchen ware, everything you need to prepare a meal. While you are cooking, stand up right at the sink and stove and when its time to eat swivel the front seats to the back and slide the dining tables in place for comfortable indoor dining setup for 4.

Sleeping

When it is time for bed simply stow the tables, fold down the back seat and throw the included sheets, down pillows and comforter on the double bed for a cozy nights sleep. Up above, under the pop top, you can pull out another double bed that is works out perfect for the kids. Pull the curtains tight to block out the light and have full privacy.

Which type of van did you rent?: Eurovan
Where are you from?: Australia

The van was sturdy, comfortable with an extra bit of padding, drove well. The heater was great - coming from Australia I wasn't familiar with propane heaters. Good for one or two people. Rico was communicative and helpful. I drove 2400 miles and it did me well!

Last minute OR road trip

We rented one of the Eurocampers to explore the Oregon Coast for a few days in April and it was fantastic! The camper had everything we could have possibly needed for cooking all kinds of meals (salt, pepper, oil, Saran Wrap, tin foil, coffee press, wine opener, etc) and additional thoughtful amenities such as towels, toilet paper, carpets for wet shoes, down pillows and a duvet (!!), camping chairs, etc.). We thoroughly appreciated all the additional touches that made for a super easy last minute trip. Within five minutes of getting into the van we knew it was going to be an awesome trip.

We followed the North Coast trip recommendation guide that RTO has on their website and it was fabulous; we traveled in early April which as awesome as we didn’t need to pre-book any campsites and the beaches felt like they were all ours.

Overall we had an exceptional experience with RTO that started with the booking process. Would 100% recommend to anyone interested in exploring Oregon by car.
